11 weeks

Happy 11 weeks, Cletus! A bit of info on development this week:

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

A bit on what we've been up to...
  • Joey and I are both on vacation this week. We're not going anywhere this time, just hanging around the house for a "stay-cation". :o) We have some yard work to do and maybe a few house projects that I can add to the honey-do list.
  • We're VERY excited for Husker football to begin - 18 days and 22 hours to go!
  • Are you watching the Olympics?? I'm hooked as usual. Joey watches with me when pre-season football isn't on (which is a rarity the last few days).

Hope you're doing well! We're just counting down until our next appointment on the 28th. I'm still feeling pretty well, knock on wood.

Tell your Mommy she should have come to Minooka on their vacation even though they were just here not that long ago. :o)

Thanks for leaving some love!
